Advising
Declared HD Majors
Faculty in the human development program encourage our students to seek academic advising early, often, and regularly throughout their tenure as an HD major to ensure they stay on track to graduate. We are committed to providing an exceptional advising experience for all of our majors, but this requires students to come to their advising appointment prepared (i.e., with forms completed and supporting documents in hand). On the Advising Forms & Videos page you will find useful advising material, including links to common forms and video guides to filling them out. Emails sent to HD advisors or the coordinator should include your full name and SSU ID number.
Need help reading your ARR, finding a GE course, or have other general advising questions? The Advising Center can help. Scroll to the bottom of this page to learn more about how they can help you!
The Advising Center
The Advising Center can answer questions about General Education Requirements, the Academic Requirements Report (ARR), the Transfer Credit Report, course registration, and waitlists. They cannot answer major-specific questions or sign any paperwork.
